Quilting
People have asked to see the quilts I have made. These are some of the quilts in my house:
This is a king size bed quilt.
This is on the wall in our dining room.
A couple of quilts over the stairs...
On the wall in our guest room...
Our daughter's bed quilt...
This cowboy quilt is fun to make and I am making it on request!
The quilt storage cabinet is handy when you run out of wall spaces. :-)
Some quilts displayed in a Norwegian rose-painted cradle.
Another wall hanging...
In the family room...
Entrance / stairs...
Another up the stairs...
Before I started quilting 15 years ago, I made porcelain dolls - more than 50 I believe. This is a sample I have kept!
I hope you enjoyed my little quilt show today!

Busy week end!
I finished my week end projects, here is my fall wreath at the door and how I did the kool aid dying.
First I choose four different colors,
then I divide the yarn into four lengths.
I boil water in my kettle, take 2 packages of kool aid in each jar together with 2 cups of boiling water. Put one piece of yarn in each jar and woops, the color is now in the yarn.
Then I rinse and hang it out to dry.
Now I have 465 yards of yarn in different colors, any suggestion what to use it for?

Week end projects!
I visited the biggest yarnstore in Houston yesterday, bought a big skein of yarn that I will dye with kool aid. Do not know what I will make from it yet. Also went to a spice store and ended up buying more than I need.
Another week end project is a fall wreath for the entrance door, as you can see, I have alot of help!

Quilting!
I have not been quilting for months. It was too much to work in a quiltstore and then go home and make samplers for the store. Quilting is my hobby and it should be fun, not alot of work. So I quit working, rest from quilting for a while, maybe one day I will enjoy it again?
This summer I went on a hot air balloon trip in New Mexico, in a quilt store in Santa Fe I found this wonderful fabric, it will be nice to make a memory from the trip. On the drive back to Houston, we had to visit all the quiltstores, in Kerrville they have a wonderful store, here I found alot of fabric from my favorit designer Amy Butler. Some cat fabric was a must!
If you go to the quilt festival in Houston this fall you will find that the hit of the year is the "one block wonder" I have two of them started, I did not like it!
What I am working on right now!
My easy knit is the colorful blanket that will be felted after it is done. The yarn is pt2.
I also just started "the great american aran afghan", I had planned to use cascade yarn, but then I found that I had some "sportsgarn", perfect for this project.
I love the book "dikt i masker", will I ever make anything from that book? Tusen takk Tone!
I have finished another "toothbrush" rug, this time from Mona's leftover Thimbleberries fabrics!
The jacket in black and red is another ongoing project.

My first blog - stonework
The stones on our house started to fall off due to incorrect installation. Fortunately, this was covered by warranty and everything will be replaced with a new type of stone.
The first photo shows our house before the replacement work started.
The work started on August 24 by tearing down all the stones.
A week later, the work is still in progress and our yard is a mess!
