A COLD WEEK END

This week end has been cold and grey, a good stay at home week end.
I fixed the bag, as a few readers guessed, it was the handles that was sewn on wrong.
Now I think it looks great, you can see more pictures in my little shop

A new bag is started, this time one for myself. It was very difficult to choose fabrics. I decided on these Japanese fabrics that I bought back home in December.
More letters are made, now also in white, but that is hard to tell from this picture. Nice ribbons for a babygift, more in my store
In the mail this week, I got these catalogs from "Sandnes Garn". The ones for children has a lot of pretty things, specially for little girls.
But on my needles I have the worst, booring project ever, the long socks, I just have to continue them.... let's see if I can go another week without starting a new project..
Have a creative week and stay warm!

A creative day

I am lucky to start my day with these two happy faces, they love water!

This morning was perfect for dying some yarn, look at these wonderful colors

outside to dry

My newest thing is to decorate letters, I use silver spray paint. They are nice for decorations on the shelf or the wall, I have alot of different ribbons, pink and blue ones for the babies room...

I managed to finish this bag before the end of my Monday, when I finally sat down to watch my favorite tv show and got my knitting out, I looked at the bag and realized that I have done a big mistake, can you see what it is?

Well, tomorrow is another day.... have a good one...

More from our travel

Dubai is under constant construction and alot of the buildings are amazing, this is the building across from the Burj Khalifa (the worlds tallest building)

This is the bridge crossing the man made lade below the Burj

Have you ever been to Las Vegas and been impressed by the dancing fountains in front of the Bellagio hotel? Here at the lake below the Burj they have dancing fountains show every evening, and it is eight times better than the LA one... The Burj is on the left.

Here you can see cars that you never have seen before

A new airport where are we flying next?

Oman here we come. The harbor in Muscat

In front of the Palace of the Sultan

Exhausted little girl...

We visited the souk and looked at Omani silver

A typical old Omani house

It has taken many days to get over the jet lag, it is 10 hrs time difference! 17 hrs non stop flight back to Houston with two little ones...... well, it is not fun....

Today I took my hexagons out and enjoyed the sun, I have also spray painted.....

DUBAI

After nearly 15 hours non stop flight, we landed in Dubai. With 10 hours time difference we are all jetlagged.
This is the view from our hotel room, Burj Al Arab on the left and Jumeirah Beach hotel on the right. Last time here we visited Burj Al Arab, it is amazing.

Dubai has everything, from skiing to desert safari. Ths shopping malls are endless, but compare with Houston it is more expensive. Here from our desert safari..

today we are going to visit the worlds tallest building..
This was just a quick update on a borrowed computer

IN MY SEWING ROOM

I was working like crazy yesterday, and here is the result,  PILLOWS! Different shapes and some nice ones for Valentine. Sweet hearts for decorations around the house. I needed some new things in my "Epla" store so they are all for sale, let me know if you like one... Also made some new sweet labels.

Nice sun today so I brought it all outside, but it is cold only 5 degrees C (42F) .

Here is my red fabrics ready to make a red version of the blue one I made earlier. It will go nice with my new red dishes

Leaving tomorrow, flying away to a warmer place, it has the world's tallest building that opened yesterday. Can you guess we we are heading?

4th day of Christmas

We have had some lazy days, cold, but no snow. Everyone got a lot of presents, we need a bigger house for the twin's toys.

Our Norwegian Christmas food has been eaten, we still have some leftovers.

I have finished my Christmas knitting, one pair of mittens each for my little ones, big enough for next year. I also made a small version, maybe for a santa for next year. A new project is on my needles, it will take a while before they are done. They are for my oldest daughter. A friend made hers in two weeks, I will probably use two years....

Soon my old wool angels will be back in their box .....

CHRISTMAS KNITTING

While some are enjoying and others complaining about all the snow back home in Stavanger, I had my coffee and knitting outside in 24 degrees C (75 degrees F) nice sunny weather. Here is another pair of miniature mittens, these are a little bit bigger than the last ones.

Morning by the pool, as you can see, we have got a lot of bananas this year. The pool will probably be heated tonight if our guest finally arrives, he has been stuck in Paris because of the snow....

More Christmas knitting, wristwarmers are easy and quick gifts, here a elegant pair with pearls and another pair for a nice young man

This little angel came home with me yesterday

The Christmas tree is decorated, only thing left now is to wrap alot of presents,
MERRY CHRISTMAS
and thanks for visiting my blog!
