BLUE JEANS QUILT

utgaven

strikket i "Elsebeth Lavold`s" Silky Wool,

KNITTING IN COLORADO

On our trip I brought with me the wool I was telling about here

and this is the finished "Oz" from "Heirloom Stitches"

all the pink/purple wool was used and I finished it off
with the green

and here is the princess who will wear it this fall and winter!

I still had alot of green left and it was enough for this
"Luxe Cowl" I found on Ravelry here

and, I told you it was endless, even for another cowl,

a long version of the Good Luck Cowl by
Christianne Gerstner, also found on Ravelry.
That was finally the end of the endless wool...
but, as you can see in my basket, I got some new
wool on my trip...

This is from the rockies on the way back to Denver,
we drove the scenic drive I-70

Here is my newest gadget, a Mac!
It is very different from what I am used with, so instead of trying
to figure it out, it is easier to grab the needles on my
newest project....

Well, hopefully within a week I am blogging from my Mac!

HAVE A NICE WEEK AND THANKS AGAIN FOR
STOPPING BY!

Visiting COLORADO this time....

Thanks for stopping by!
I know, I have neglected my blog for a long time, but we
have been back to the USA for some weeks, visiting Colorado.
This is from Denver Botanic Gardens, a beautiful place

They had a interesting exhibit by artist Stephen Talasnik

We spent a day at the Aquarium, before we headed
on to the mountains to get to Vail

This was not our rental car, but it was so cool, we
found it at the airport...

We stopped and spent time in some of the small towns
along Interstate 70, in Georgetown I found this store,
had to buy some fabric and wool...

This is from Breckenridge, where we spent a few days,
alot of fun to do both for adults and children

The Norwegian flag in the park and "Sons of Norway"

Here it is the little prince, jumping high...

We spent some time in Silverthorne, Copper Mountain
and Frisco too, before we ended up in Vail

We spent a lazy week here
We have been to Colorado several times before,
but this was first time in the summer,
and it is beautiful....

We took the scenic drive I-70 back to Denver,
what a view!

I will  be back soon, have to show you
my knitting from the trip!

Have a nice week!

The never ending wool.....

You  probably know that I am trying to use up the yarn in my stash..
(yes, you have heared that before)

These huge balls of delicious wool, it even smells wool,
is everlasting...

I have had it for years, it came to me without names on
and already winded into two big wool balls. I think the
name of it is "Evilla".

I have knitted a shawl, a cardigan for myself,
a sweater for my little prince...

and now a sweater for my little princess.
Another fun project starting from the top and
knitting your way down..

 I found the pattern here
This will be my project when we are leaving tomorrow...

The princess!

"We are leaving on an airplane, we know when we'll be back again....."

Have a nice summer week!

SUMMER KNITTING - "Oslo anorakken"

Are you looking for a fun and easy project?
I found this pattern

and it was perfect for the  4 skeins of wool
(with no name on)  that I bought here a couple
of years ago,  and 4 old buttons from my box

It was just enough for the size 4 that
I knitted for my little prince,  just a few
yards leftover..

A perfect sweater for a cold evening and for the fall!

Have a nice weekend and thanks for stopping by!

VACATION HOME IN STAVANGER

We are staying at home for a couple of weeks and the twins
like to spend time outside.
While at the playground , this family came to visit...

On rainy days they like to visit the library downtown,
but we were realy lucky with the day visiting the farm,
blue skies and nice temperature..

What a great day, the kids had been here before
and could tell me about all the animals.

and guess where little brother spent his time?

Here!

Knitted a little summer hat for the princess,
pattern free on Ravelry, some leftover cotton
yarn from my basket and buttons from my box....
A fun project!

HOPE ALL HAVE SOME NICE SUMMER DAYS!

WE ARE SOON LEAVING AGAIN...
